Buying Baby and Pet Products from China: A Mixed-SKU Checklist for UAE Importers

A mixed-SKU sourcing checklist for UAE importers: confirm models, MOQ, accessories, packaging, samples, inspection and delivery scope before ordering from China.

Product samples and packaging for comparing a mixed-SKU sourcing quotation
A mixed-SKU order needs more than one total quantity and one unit price. Before approving a quotation, UAE importers should identify each model, color, accessory set and packing version, then agree on the delivery endpoint and the documents needed for the intended destination.
This is an order-planning guide, not a statement that any product is approved for sale in the UAE or another Middle Eastern market. Review product-specific requirements with the appropriate specialists before placing an order.

Start with the Sales Route, Not Just the Destination Country

Tell the supplier whether the goods are for your own UAE warehouse, a local distributor, a retail program or onward shipment to another country. A quote for delivery to one location is not automatically a quote for every later handling step.
Write down who receives the goods, who sorts mixed cartons and whether individual cartons will be sent onward to customers. If the route is not final, ask the supplier to separate product and packing costs from the transport scope so the alternatives remain comparable.

Build a Line-by-Line SKU Schedule

Use one row for each distinct model, color and configuration. Do not assume that reaching a combined order total satisfies every model or custom-color minimum.
Order line
What the buyer should specify
EVA pet carrier
KISS, KISS+ or BLOOM; quantity by color; accessories; logo and packing version
Cardboard cat sofa
Artwork version; quantity; flat-packed configuration; assembly instructions
Electric baby cradle
Fabric, functions, remote control, data cable and agreed power configuration
Shipment identification
SKU code, carton marks, packing quantity and destination allocation
For the EVA pet carrier collection, the current regular-color MOQ is 300 pieces with mixed colors, while custom colors have a 500-piece-per-color MOQ. Confirm the proposed model mix separately. These terms should not be transferred to unrelated products.
The cardboard cat sofa has a 500-piece MOQ reference. For the electric baby cradle, request confirmation of MOQ and the selected configuration before comparing prices.

Separate Standard Packing from Requested Changes

Ask what the base price includes: individual box, outer carton, instructions, barcode label and carton marks. List additional artwork, inserts or protective packing as explicit quote items.
If your project calls for Arabic and English text, approve the actual files and the responsible reviewer before printing. Do not leave translation or destination suitability for the packing team to decide. Requirements for onward destinations need separate review; one artwork version should not be assumed suitable for every Middle Eastern market.
For mixed shipments, make the packing list useful for receiving: connect each carton identifier with its SKU, color, quantity and measured weight. Ask whether different SKUs share a carton and, if so, how they can be identified without opening every box.

Confirm a Packed Sample for Each Meaningful Difference

A sample of one carrier model does not confirm the accessories or packing of another. Agree which variants need physical samples and which can be checked against approved artwork or written specifications.
For the cat sofa, review a complete flat-packed set and assemble it using the supplied instructions. For the cradle, list the selected fabric, functions, remote control and cable; do not assume an accessory shown in a photograph is included in every quotation.
Record sample charges, shipping charges and any agreed credit against a bulk order. Our business FAQ explains the standard approach; the applicable terms must be confirmed case by case in writing.

Plan around the Slowest Approved Order Line

If the order must ship together, agree whether the shipment waits for all SKUs or whether partial dispatch is allowed. Ask how changes to one model affect the other ready goods and any storage or extra handling costs.
Use separate milestones for artwork approval, sample approval, production completion, inspection and dispatch. For example, the EVA custom-color production reference is 40 days after sample approval. That is not an arrival promise for the entire mixed shipment.

Define Inspection and Delivery Scope

Agree on the inspection scope by SKU, not only by total shipment quantity. Identify who reviews the report and who can authorize release. See our third-party inspection checklist.
For delivery, name the place and agreed trade term, then ask the parties to list included and excluded charges. Clarify transport, destination handling, clearance arrangements, duties or taxes where applicable, and onward delivery rather than assuming the unit price includes them. Obtain project-specific advice and quotations for those items.

Questions to Resolve before Paying the Deposit

Which MOQ applies to each model and custom color?
Are accessories and packing versions recorded for every SKU?
Who approves artwork and destination-specific documents?
Which samples are required and how are they charged?
Must all order lines ship together?
Does inspection cover every model in the shipment?
What is the exact delivery endpoint and what is excluded?

Can We Combine Baby and Pet Products in One Inquiry?

Yes. Send one inquiry with separate lines for each product. LeKee Care can review the proposed order, but model availability, minimum quantities, schedules and shipment consolidation must be confirmed for the project.
